Screenshots Suck! Screencasts Rulio!

As some of you may or may not know Screeniac is not the only blog that I post on.  It just so happens that you can watch screencast and video demos that I find and aren’t created by me, on DemoGirl.com.  I’ve been posting demos there for a few months as well as posting my own screencasts here on Screeniac and frankly I think it’s about time the two became more than just friends.

I’ll be posting all my new screencasts on DemoGirl but will still be including cool screencast and video demos I come across from time to time.  I’ll leave everything on Screeniac just the way it is so you’ll always be able to view my past work.  I hope you’ll all join me over at DemoGirl.com and I look forward to hearing any feedback you have about Screeniac and DemoGirl’s new relationship!

Photobucket is a place to upload, create, and share photos and video online. You can create slideshows and photo albums to put on your website or blog. While photobucket has been around for a while, they just recently remodeled their homepage so, I thought I’d give the people that have never used photobucket a brief tour.

NetHaggler is a tool to help you get better deals while shopping online. Just install the “Hagglebar” and you’ll be notified when something you want is available at a lower price. You can also have NetHaggler nag vendors to get you a better price and haggle with other NetHagglers to get the best deal.

As some of you may know, I do custom screencast work.  The screencasts I post on Screeniac are all created and designed by me and are not paid for, unless disclosed.  I recently finished two projects for two completely different services.  I was hired to create those screencasts and did my best to give the company what they wanted.  (They were both completely patient and pleasant to work with.)  I decided to post them here and on Demo Girl, with the companies permission, so you have an idea of what a custom screencast for your company may look like.

The first is for ExtremePlanner, “Agile Project Planning for Software Teams”.  The second is a group of screencast demos for JetTask, “The ultimate task list”.  I hope you enjoy them and I’d love your feedback.

Couchville is an online t.v. listing service that focuses on what it’s supposed to be doing, showing you what’s on t.v. Couchville also provides you with information about the cast, the series itself, and gives an episode listing for the entire history of a series. There’s nothing to sign up for either!
